Very heavy rains pounded our South India project area with severe flooding and more than 100 people died. The bridge we use to get to the project from the airport lost 200 feet in the middle, washed away by river water above the bridge. The railway lines were broken and partially underwater. Many water and sewer pipes were broken so fresh water in the villages stopped for all those families. Thousands were displaced from flooded homes; lots of homes were just washed away and the families lost all their possessions. Our director still can’t get to three of our village tuition centers as the roads are washed out and the villages are flooded.

One particularly sad event was the drowning of the father of one of our students. He was trapped in his car with others as the waters rose. After waiting there and getting hypothermic, they all left the car braving the water to find a way to higher ground. Unfortunately, he walked into a deep water area and drowned as he didn’t know how to swim. We have already sent three months support to the widow and her two children; the roads in that direction cleared a few days ago. Our Foundation will provide a monthly income to the family going forward. I’m sure there will be other families we know personally that could not yet contact us. Thank you all for having given us the means to respond immediately.

Corona Virus Emergency Relief

When the pandemic hit on 23 March 2020 in India, the families we work with lost all their income and could only go out two hours a day to buy groceries at local stores. Our Foundation has paid rent, bought food and paid all education costs monthly to over 200 families without any work due to the pandemic.

Educational Support

Sponser a child for $30 a month.

Our main focus to give a better life to children through education. Every child in our program is enrolled in the best school available in that area. However not ever child has a stable home or parents. With $30 a month sponsorship you can change a child’s life.

Children's Home

We started a home for children without one or both parents in 2010. All 46 children receive food, housing, clothes, medical care and a good education with tutoring. In 2017 we built a brand new facility with fully tiled floors and walls and big, bright large dorms and common rooms.

Family Support

Although our primary mission is to help children get education as a way out of poverty, their families and older adults need care also. We often have to support a home or provide food to the parents or single parent so they can properly care for their children at home.

After School Tutoring

Many village students have parents who never went to school or had so little they cannot help with homework. We now have seven villages where we provide one or two tutors every school day to go over homework and school lessons to make sure the children understand the class work. We also provide all school supplies and snacks.

Medical Care

We have monthly free clinics for two full villages in Ahmadnagar district in India. Our area director is a medical doctor so he knows the people and knows their  problems. He also has a small hospital so we have back up for more serious health problems.

North India, South India, Tibetan Refugees

There are thousands of families that are suffering from Pandemic Lock Down in India without any money or Food. We are trying our best to keep them alive providing them with food that we purchace  daily.
